Ingredients

  • Put baking pan in the Home Bakery, close the lid, and plug in the bread maker.
  • Choose Home Made setting. Press Cycle button and turn off: preheat/rest, rise 1, 2, 3, shape, bake, keep warm.
  • Choose the knead cycle and set 0:20.
  • Press start.
  • When the course is done, press cancel and take the dough out of the baking pan.

  • 1 1/2lb loaf of sweet bread (or any bread), cut into 1” cubes
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 qt half and half cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 cup dried cranberries

Sauce:

  • 1/2lb butter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ cp whiskey
  • Remove the kneading blades and put in bread cubes.
  • Mix the other ingredients for batter.
  • Pour batter over bread and toss.
  • Let bread and batter soak for 15 minutes.
  • Choose the Home Made course and then press the cycle button. Turn off: preheat, knee and all rise cycles.
  • Select the bake cycle.
  • Press and set time as 1:10.
  • Press cycle two times to record time.
  • Press start two times to start the baking. The red start light should be on.
  • When baking is done, remove the bread pan and let the bread pudding cool before taking it out.
  • While you are waiting, make the sauce.

    Melt the butter over low heat. Then, add sugar and stir.
