West Bend has been making high quality and affordable kitchen appliances since 1911. They’re a leader in the industry and we just adore their bread makers. They’re reliable and always make and bake the perfect loaf of bread.
So, we decided to cultivate a list of our four favorite West Bend bread maker recipes. These recipes are super easy and great for all kinds of bread bakers.
Old Fashioned White Bread
This recipe makes 1 and a half pound loaf of bread.
- 1First, add the butter, canola oil, and water to the bread machine.
- 2Next, add the flour, sugar, and sea salt. Create a little bowl in the flour and fill that bowl with the yeast. This keeps it out of direct contact from the water so it doesn’t get activated right away.
- 3Select your bread machine’s “White Bread” setting. Make sure to check in on the bread dough after a few minutes of mixing. If it’s too sticky, add a dash of flour until it’s the right consistency. If it’s too dry, add a teaspoon of water at a time until it’s the right consistency.
- 4Once your bread is done baking, let it cool for at least an hour before serving.
French Bread Recipe

- 4While your bread is working through the bread-making process in your bread machine, break the egg into a small mixing bowl. Beat the egg with a whisk. Add the softened butter. Mix until it’s combined thoroughly. Set the mixture aside.
- 5Once your bread is done baking, brush the top of your loaf of bread with your egg and butter mix. Let the bread cool for at least an hour before serving.
Dill Bread Recipe
This recipe makes a 1 and a half pound loaf of bread.

If it’s too sticky, add a dash of flour until it’s the right consistency. If it’s too dry, add a teaspoon of water at a time until it’s the right consistency.
